Many years ago, on one of those June days in Tehran — the city I’ve always loved — my father treated me to a delightful breeze filled with color, smiles, and memories. He took my hand and led me to a vast garden, where an old, charming building stood at its center, alive with the joyful noise of the city’s children.
My father had enrolled me in the “Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.” Back in those gray years, the institute became my bridge to the world of dreams. It was a window into grand dreams that, in those post-war years, few even had the energy to imagine.
You might laugh, but I am still filled with that same childlike passion and excitement. Being a member of that institute for eleven years — and later a mentor there for five — turned me into a bold dreamer who today is building a new home for children.
Hamzi is my home. A home I’ve built to invite all the children of the city to a celebration of light and color.A home that wishes to offer your children the same shining experience I once had. Make no mistake: the children of Hamzi will be the dream-makers of the future.A future that, as history has shown, will be bright for our Iran — no matter the ups and downs along the way; a proud Iran.
According to Hamzi’s philosophy, humans are beings with free will and, at the same time, responsible toward “the other” and society. An individual, despite all the influences from their environment, can rely on their own wisdom and correct past mistakes to achieve growth and excellence.
Naturally, under the light of “education,” such individuals will not only have strong motivation to nurture their inner talents but will also realize that this personal growth, along with social status acquisition, is directly related to the development of the characters of others who live alongside them and collectively form the concept of society.
This philosophical emphasis on individual and social agency implies respecting values and human dignity and utilizing collective wisdom to solve problems. Therefore, Hamzi’s approach, while acknowledging the philosophical principles of the humanistic psychological approach in recognizing human abilities, adopts a “cognitive” approach in education.
From the perspective of the cognitive approach, unlike competing approaches such as behaviorism, human thought has intrinsic value and shapes individuals’ behavior. Hence, the framework for educating individuals in this approach is based on the primacy of their intellect and reasoning.
Hamzi Children’s Art Institute is founded on three core principles: talent discovery, creativity development, and teamwork.
By encouraging collaboration and coordination in group art projects, the institute teaches children how to work with others and learn from each other’s experiences.
By offering diverse artistic programs and creative environments, the institute helps children strengthen their imagination and thinking skills, and apply them in creating works of art.
It seeks to identify and develop children’s artistic and social talents, enabling them to make the most of their abilities.
The vision document of the Hamzi Institute has been developed with consideration of long-term material and spiritual investments to achieve the following goals:
Becoming the first choice of families for their children’s education and development among all specialized child centers, in line with the plan to expand branches across the country.
Becoming a successful and exemplary model in educational and pedagogical fields, and providing research and educational services and packages to other kindergartens and educational centers.
Building families’ trust in Hamzi’s approach and methods, and establishing the belief that Hamzi is the best choice for discovering and nurturing their children’s talents and creativity.
Give your children a unique opportunity to discover their artistic talents and enhance their creativity with Hamzi Cultural Institute for Artistic Children. With diverse educational programs and creative spaces, accompany your children on a journey into the world of art and prepare them for personal and artistic growth and development.
Hamzi is always ready to collaborate with organizations and companies through both short-term and long-term contracts.
